Interested in Freemasonry?

Are you are interested in becoming a Freemason? Freemasonry is one of the oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations in the world. Freemasons come from many backgrounds, leading diverse lives, but share common values.

The St. Augustine Lodge is a small, but indicitive snap-shot of the wider fraternity, with members from a variety of races, religions, ages, and socio-economic situations. We have a strong connection with Canterbury and East Kent, but also extend across the world with members from Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Our student members are studying at the University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Greenwich, . Why not come and meet us to learn more about the good charitable work we do, nationally, internationally and, of course, locally.

Members of the St. Augustine Lodge meet every week from September through to May. Please contact our secretary, W.Bro. Howard Griffin, if you would like to meet us. Take a look at our Contact Us page for other ways to get in touch.

You can also visit the Kent Museum of Freemasonry in Canterbury to see lots of masonic artefacts and photographs. For more information about Freemasonry in general, the United Grand Lodge of England has created a short booklet addressing many of the questions you may have. You can download this PDF document here. You can also look at the UGLE website here.
